about me

Meet the trainer

My mission is ...

...to support individuals in reaching their optimum fitness level and becoming fitter, faster and stronger. Holding an MSc in Organisational Psychology and experienced in football, tennis, and martial arts, I have a good understanding of the mind-body connection in wellness. I aim to foster this connection in others for their well-being.

I became a trainer...

...because I wanted to share my passion for sports & fitness and help others achieve an optimal level of fitness so they can perform any activity without any effort and with maximum enjoyment.

My specialty

Is using different types of training such as resistance training, speed-agility and quickness, plyometric training, balance and core activation exercises programmed in a phased approach and tailored to anyone's goals and requirements in order to achieve optimal and sustainable results.

How I stay fit

I do functional-training with a power-phase focus 2-3 times a week, still play amateur level football and tennis and once or twice a year, prepare and participate in an athletic competition, such as Mudmasters, Spartan Race, Dam-to-Dam (biking or running).

This phase uses validated tools to measure your current fitness status, analyzing factors like body composition, cardiovascular fitness, strength, and flexibility, as well as understanding your story, health history, and aspirations, delving into the intricacies of what makes you, you.

EVIDENCE-BASED PROGRAM DESIGN

The evidence-based approach to program design is based on the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) OPT Model. We will create a weekly, monthly and yearly program, as well as adapt it based on progress and enjoyment.

CONTINUOUS PROGRESS MONITORING

Tracking progress is essential for achieving your fitness goals. This involves weekly & monthly re-assessments, as well as using data provided from fitness trackers and apps.

REVIEW, ADAPT & IMPROVE

We will use the monthly assessments to improve the program, perform any necessary adjustments with the overall goal to increase likelihood of achieving your goals, but also increase the level of enjoyment in the program.

What is your cancellation and refund policy?
The cancellation policy requires a 24-hour notice for all sessions. Refunds are an option within this timeframe. If not refunding, consider rescheduling the session for the next 48 hours. Cancellations within less than 24 hours result in the full session price being charged.
How flexible are the payment terms?
I aim to optimize your experience in our programs by tailoring payment options to your needs. Choose between per-package or per-month terms, with flexible weekly, bi-weekly, or custom payment installments. Custom arrangements can be discussed and agreed upon during our initial meeting.
Where do the sessions take place?
Sessions are conducted both indoors and outdoors. We train in a personal training studio, located in Jordaan, Amsterdam. If weather allows, we can perform outdoor workouts with the same, or sometimes, even more effectiveness, intensity and enjoyment than in the gym.
What is the OPTIFIT approach and how do you incorporate the NASM OPT model in your training?
Our evidence-based OPTIFIT training inspired by the NASM OPT model, tailors programs to your needs. We assess, customize, and use progressive techniques for optimal and enduring results.
Do you offer nutritional guidance as part of your services?
Absolutely! I believe that nutrition plays a vital role in achieving fitness goals. I will provide basic nutritional guidance and offer suggestions to support your training program.
